'The White Company Ltd.', is one of a series of works in which idealised images of family in advertising are cut from brochures and catalogues and pasted onto wooden panels constructed from vintage packing crates. The carefully selected subjects turn their gaze away from the camera and viewer (as if) immersed in their own private thoughts. Exceptionally, in The White Company Ltd., the mother figure stares discontentedly to camera - the photographer has interrupted her quality-time. Quality and time are the subjects of these images, both in the original context and here (removed and up-cycled).
